Small Groups and Bible Studies

Adult Bible Study — Fema Zahringer

Each Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Fema leads an adult Bible Study at the church. This study is open to all adults.

Women's Bible Study

Various participants take turns leading the Women's Bible Study on Monday mornings at 10:00 a.m. All women are invited to join this fun, caring, and outgoing group.

Third Saturday Men's Breakfast

All men are invited to breakfast at the State Fair Best Western on the third Saturday of each month at 8:00 a.m. In addition to breakfast, the group always enjoys a presentation from various speakers throughout our community. All men in the community are welcomed.

Chancel Choir — Darrin Hartman

The Choir helps lead in worship each Sunday at the 9:00 a.m. worship service. Practices are Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. The choir is always looking for new voices to join their group. During the summer months the choir will sing on the first and third Sundays.

Diamond Disciples

At noon on the second Monday of each month, (exception of June, July, and August) Diamond Disciples meets. This is a gathering of senior adults at First Christian Church. The group shares a potluck lunch and enjoys a variety of programs.

Praise Band (Azimuth 180*) — Sarah Hisle

Azimuth 180* plays and sings contemporary Christian music at the 11:00 a.m. CrossWalk service every Sunday. Band practice is held Wednesday evenings at 8:00 p.m.

Bridge Club

Meets on Mondays at 1:00 pm.

Prayer Group

Meets on Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m.

Prayer Chain

A group of dedicated people who take prayer requests every day and regularly call on those who are home bound or wish to be contacted. Call the church office to let them know of your prayer request or need.

Disciple Women’s Ministry

Purpose: To provide opportunities for spiritual growth, enrichment, education and creative ministries to enable women to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of the church of Jesus Christ. Four groups of women meet monthly at various times. The DWM board meets on the first Thursday and host a service day on the second Thursday of each month. All four DWM groups participate in various activities including, The Festival of Sharing, monthly local charity causes, collecting labels, kitchen services, and bereavement dinners. On the first Friday of May the DWM hosts a Women of Faith banquet.All senior adults are invited to attend.
