Crosswalk Contemporary Service

"Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say rejoice!"
Philippians 4:4

Do you feel yourself moving toward God or moving away from God? Are there moments in your life, perhaps daily moments, when you need a place to safely move where God is calling you to go. If so, you are in good company! Here, there is a safe place to cross. Here, there is a no-pressure, no dress-code, non-traditional access point.

CrossWalk is the 11:00 worship service held in the Fellowship Hall. It is a casual, contemporary style service led by ministerial staff or lay leaders. This service includes music from our fabulous praise band, "Azimuth 180*" led by our worship leader Sarah Hisle. The congregation participates in singing contemporary Christian songs viewed on a video projection screen, prayer, and communion by intinction, in which participants come forward and dip the bread into the wine. As in most Disciples of Christ services, communion is served every Sunday. There is a young children's time each week which is led by various church leaders. Typically, the minister or guest speaker delivers a sermon; the message is based on scripture readings.
